AGRIGEP Project Spotlights Gender Equality and Sustainability at CZU Campus Event IDEATHON CZU 2024:

The AGRIGEP project, dedicated to promoting gender equality plans in higher education and research institutions across widening EU countries, took center stage at the recent CZU campus event. Students, staff, and visitors gathered to explore sustainable solutions for CZU campus development in the face of climate change and biodiversity concerns.

The event’s highlight, the Ideathon, invited participants to collaborate on sustainability challenges facing the university campus. Whether mitigating carbon footprints or nurturing ecosystems, the Ideathon encouraged diverse teams to brainstorm innovative ideas for a greener future while mainstreaming social justice.

Both the AGRIGEP project and the CZU campus event shared a common goal: driving positive change through collective action. While AGRIGEP focused on gender equality and institutional transformation, the campus event rallied stakeholders around sustainability and social responsibility.

Not forget to mention the event was bilingual – presentations were held in both Czech and English to make it more inclusive for foreign students as well. As global challenges mounted, collaboration and inclusivity became paramount. By joining forces, participants in the Ideathon and stakeholders in the AGRIGEP project embodied the resilience needed for a more equitable and sustainable future.
