info@agrigep.euOn April 23, 2025, the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague hosted a fascinating lecture titled Sex, Gender, and Females in Zoology, delivered by Assoc. Prof. Ing. Karolína Brandlová, Ph.D., as part of the AGRIGEP project.
During the lecture, participants explored biological definitions of females and the diverse strategies females use in nature when choosing partners for reproduction. The session also addressed the broader context of behavioral ecology and challenged participants to think about common cultural and societal stereotypes through the lens of biological sciences.
One of the highlights was a discussion on how traditional fairy tales would look if their characters followed biological laws instead of cultural norms. The lecture offered an engaging and thought-provoking perspective on the intersection between biology, behavior, and culture.
We thank all participants for their interest and active contributions to the discussion. We look forward to welcoming you at our upcoming events!
